JENNA MEROLA TROTZER, RA NCARB ARCHITECT 

I am an Architect, Planner and Project Manager specializing in residential space planning, design and renovations. I bring more than 28 years of planning, design and construction experience in the residential, commercial, retail and pharmaceutical sectors. In my early years, my focus was largely on laboratory facilities.  As a Laboratory Planner I programmed and designed over 600,000 SF of laboratory facilities and worked with lead scientists very early in the planning process to critically identify, analyze and resolve their individual needs.  I thoughtfully custom designed all their laboratory and office furniture. My planning processes always involved working simultaneously with some of the largest contractors in the U.S. with my task being to provide the diverse project teams with a Schematic Design and Program.  This early detailed planning provided the team and owner with a clear concept of design, construction phasing, and subsequently, less surprises and more accurate cost estimates.

I began The Beachside Studio in 2017 as a unique residential Planning and Design service that can assist the Fairfield County homeowner in a similar way.  As an Architect and Planner, I assist the homeowner very early in the planning process by identifying spaces in their existing home that they feel are amiss; we work collaboratively together through sketch options and when we are done, I deliver them with a clear and prescriptive Schematic Design we can take through the renovation process. 

 

Through one-on-one interviews, spatial/structural surveys and code compliance I provide the homeowner with a multitude of interior redesign options, as well as fresh ideas on circulation and flow, open floor plan concepts and redefined home organization with cabinetry design and installations.
